SUBSTANCE: group of inventions concerns methods for oral care and cleaning of the oral cavity by administration of a tablet into the oral cavity, chewing of the specified tablet for production of fluid in the oral cavity, distribution of at least part of produced fluid within the oral cavity, ingestion or spitting out of the specified part of fluid. The tablet contains: i) at least one antimicrobial ether oil, in particular, selected from a group consisting of menthol, thymol, eucalyptol, methyl salicylate, and combinations of two or more of them; ii) from 40% to 99% by weight of the tablet of one or ore sugar alcohols selected from xylite, erythrite, maltitol, isomalt, and combinations of two or more of them; wherein the xylite content is at least 20% by weight; iii) lubricating agent selected from magnesium stearate and stearic acid, talc, glyceride waxes, and mixtures thereof; iv) salivation-increasing agent; and v) additional sweetener selected from sodium saccharin, aspartame, acesulfame and its salts, including potassium acesulfame, thaumatin, glycyrrhizin, sucralose, dihydrochalcones, alitame, miraculin, monellin, stevioside, and combinations of two or more of them. The salivation-increasing agent may be selected from citric, lactic, malic, succinic, ascorbic, adipic, fumaric, tartaric acids, Javanese apple oil extract, pilocarpine hydrochloride, or cholinesterase inhibitors, and combinations of two or more of them. The tablet has hardness of less than 200 N and may weigh more than 1 gram.

EFFECT: use of a tablet of the specified composition provides for sufficient production of fluid compared to tablets of the prior state of the art, effective removal of food residues, and delivery of antimicrobial active substances from the tablet to the surface of the oral cavity for destruction of microbes.
