FIELD: thermometry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermometry and can be used to measure the temperature of the process medium. The process medium temperature assessment system includes an assembly unit, a sensor capsule, a measurement circuit and a controller. The assembly unit is configured to attach the temperature assessment system of the process medium to the outer surface of the channel for the process medium. The sensor capsule has an end that is configured to contact the outer surface of the channel for the process medium, with the formation of a coupling device having a contact area and an air gap. The sensor capsule also has at least one thermosensitive element located in it. The measurement circuit is connected to the sensor capsule and configured to detect the electrical characteristic of at least one thermosensitive element, which changes with temperature, and to supply at least information about the temperature of the encasement to the channel for the process medium. The controller is connected to the measurement circuit and configured to receive information about the temperature of the process medium channel encasement from the measurement circuit and to receive information about the reference temperature. The controller is configured to obtain a heat flow parameter related to the air gap of the interface device, and to use the calculation of heat transfer using information about the temperature of the process medium channel encasement, information about the reference temperature and the heat flow parameter, to generate estimated output data on the temperature of the process medium.
