FIELD: manufacture of ice.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water supply of drought-affected areas demonstrating problems with water supply, and can be applied both in large agricultural and small farming enterprises, in homesteads and gardening properties, as well as for forming drinking water reserves and for filling closed water bodies. The method for forming a block of ice consists in installing a prefabricated container in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped on supports on a horizontal platform with a hard surface near a natural body of water. The bottom of the container is placed in a strictly horizontal position at a distance of 25 to 30 cm from the surface of the platform. A rigging appliance is suspended in the container on a shaft located on two opposite sides of the container. The container is then filled to the top level with water and kept for a time until a monolithic ice block is formed under the impact of subzero ambient temperature. After the shaft is removed from the rings of the rigging appliance, the rings are hooked onto the hook of the lifting mechanism, the ice block is removed from the container and placed on the platform of the vehicle.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the stability of water supply of the population, agriculture and industry of regions with insufficient water supply with high-quality drinking water and household water.
