FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing equipment, in particular, to testing of space equipment for tightness, and can be used in such fields as gas industry, nuclear engineering, aircraft engineering. Method of testing articles for tightness includes placing the article in an accumulation volume filled with air at atmospheric pressure, sealing the accumulation volume, continuous air mixing in the accumulation volume, the control gas supply and the article filling with the control gas to the excessive test pressure, measurement of the control gas concentration in the accumulation volume, holding the article under excess test pressure of the test gas, measuring the concentration of the test gas, determination of the growth rate of the concentration of the test gas in the air of the accumulation volume and determining the value of the total tightness of the article from the values of the rate of increase in the concentration of the control gas in the air of the accumulation volume and the value of free space of the accumulation volume, wherein accumulation volume used is working room, which is equipped with sluice room, inside the working room there are means for measuring concentration of the test gas in the air of the working room, means for searching for leaks in the product, fans, test personnel with self-contained breathing apparatus, in the process of filling the product with a test gas to an excessive test pressure, using means of searching for leaks, searching for leaks in the filling pipelines, in the process of holding the article under the excess test pressure of the test gas in the case of determining the value of the total tightness of the article, which exceeds the allowable value, using means of searching for places of leaks, searching for places of leaks in the product and filling pipelines, and when determining the value of the total tightness of the article, an adjustment is made taking into account gas release from the self-contained breathing apparatus and air exchange of the working room with the atmosphere surrounding the working room.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of testing articles for tightness and, as a result, quality of tests, which increases reliability of articles and durability of their operation.
