FIELD: disinfection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ultraviolet lamps for air disinfection and is intended for use as part of devices capable of passing an air stream through it, for example in bactericidal recirculators, in devices for cleaning and disinfecting air, both static and movable. The ultraviolet lamp for air disinfection contains a mercury gas discharge lamp with a flask made of quartz glass and a base. The mercury gas discharge lamp is coaxially installed in a nozzle made of uviol glass. The ultraviolet lamp for air disinfection is equipped with an ozone decomposition chamber, the inner surface of which is made with a UV-reflecting coating and openings for the outlet of the disinfected air. In this case, the nozzle made of uviol glass is placed in the ozone decay chamber coaxially with it. The mercury gas discharge lamp, the nozzle and the ozone decay chamber are installed on a common base equipped with air inlet holes.
EFFECT: increased rate of air disinfection with its high efficiency, equal to the inactivation of 99.9% of all viral and microbial cells in the air stream passing through an ultraviolet lamp.
