FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely transfusiology, and can be used for pathogen inactivation of blood plasma. 30-45 ml of riboflavin solution at a concentration of 800-1200 μmol/l in 0.9% saline is injected into a blood plasma container in a volume of 200-750 ml. Molecular oxygen is injected in an amount of 5-30% of the volume of the plasma container. The contents of the container are mixed. The resulting mixture is passed through a flowing cuvette with a thickness of 1.5-2.5 mm with simultaneous irradiation with monochromatic blue light with a wavelength of 450 nm at a temperature of 2-37°C to a total light dose of 12 J/cm2.
EFFECT: method provides increased efficiency in inactivating various infectious pathogens while preserving the beneficial properties of the donor product: coagulation factors, and increase in the volume of processed donor plasma by ensuring uniformity of the radiation dose received.
