FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to blast furnace production; it can be used in the smelting of rerolling cast iron and foundry cast iron using two or more types of solid fuels. The method includes loading into a furnace of iron-containing materials, fluxes, solid fuel obtained in the process of layered coking of coal charge, release of melting products, injection of natural gas, control of quality characteristics of charge materials and melting products. At the same time, solid fuel loaded as part of the fuel part of the charge is divided into solid fuel with high hot strength and solid fuel with reduced hot strength, wherein solid fuel with high hot strength with CSRh = 45.0-65.0%, and solid fuel with reduced hot strength with CSRl = 25.0-44.9% are used. Solid fuel with CSRh = 45.0-65.0% is loaded into the axial zone of the blast furnace limited to 0.10-0.15 of the grate area, and a mixture of both types of solid fuel with CSRh = 45.0-65.0% and CSRl = 25.0-44.0 is loaded into the intermediate and wall zones.
EFFECT: invention provides smooth high-performance running of the blast furnace, prolonging its campaign and reducing the specific consumption of coke.
