With an increase in the consumption of natural gas by more than or equal to 5.0% of the base value and an increase in the hydrogen content in the top gas by more than 0.5% of the base value, a decrease in ROLrel. by 0.01-0.1 units, and the factor N is increased by 0.05-0.5 units for every 0.5% hydrogen contained in the top gas above the base value, where: ROLrel. is the relative ore load in the axis in relation to the average ore load, units; N is the ratio of the relative ore load on the periphery to the relative ore load in the axis (POLrel./ROLrel.), units; POLrel. is the relative ore load on the periphery in relation to the average ore load; units.

EFFECT: increased degree of gas utilization in the blast furnace under conditions of operation with its high consumption, as well as ensuring smooth high-performance operation of the blast furnace and reducing the specific consumption of coke.
