FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to method of blast-furnace smelting. Method consists in loading of batch of iron-ore materials and coke in parts, their preset placement on throat of blast furnace, heating, recovery, melting, release of melting products. When using two types of coke, different by hot strength by value of more than 5 %, and if batch has up to 50 % of coke with low hot strength, said coke is loaded in intermediate zone of blast furnace in coke parts at distance of 0.1–0.5 throat radius from furnace wall. Content of coke with low hot strength is determined in supply to calculate limiting content of coke with low strength in coke part and amount of coke is determined, equal to difference between content of coke with low hot strength in supply and content of said coke in coke part, and said mount of coke with low hot strength is loaded in composition of iron-ore parts or periodically in form of separate parts.
EFFECT: decreased consumption of coke in blast melting and high efficiency of blast furnace.
