METHOD FOR CONTROL OF RUPTURE OF BRAKE LINE OF RAILWAY TRAIN Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC B60T17/22

Abstract RU 2770953 C1

FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of braking of railway vehicles. A method for control of the rupture of a brake line of a railway train is characterized by that, when the railway train is moving, pressure sensors take pressure readings in the brake line of the railway train and transmit them to an electronic unit that compares pressure readings. When the brake line is ruptured, in the railway train outside the locomotive, pressure decreases. In this case, at the sensor closest to a rupture site at a fixed point in time, the pressure reading will be less than at the pressure sensor farthest from the rupture site. This fact is fixed by the electronic unit, and it generates an alarm signal about the rupture of the brake line of the railway train. Pressure sensors located at a distance from 5 to 10 m between each other, take pressure readings in the brake line of the railway train at a fixed time, and when the brake line is ruptured, the pressure in the brake line begins to decrease, air distributors are activated for additional discharge, and after a compressor is turned off, the pressure in the main tank decreases, in the course of which the pressure reading of the sensor located further away from a driver’s crane will be less than on the pressure sensor installed closer to the driver’s crane. In case the driver’s crane is activated to discharge, the pressure reading of the sensor located further away from the driver’s crane will be greater than on the pressure sensor located closer to the rupture site, installed closer to the driver’s crane.

EFFECT: reduction in the time for determining the rupture of the brake line.
