METHOD FOR EXAMINATION OF DEEP FEMORAL VESSELS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B8/06

Abstract RU 2751819 C1

FIELD: medicine, vascular surgery in particular.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ultrasound diagnostics and vascular surgery, and can be used to assess the condition of deep femoral vessels. To do this, ultrasound duplex angioscanning is performed. First, the study is carried out in the patient's supine position. A linear sensor is placed along the projection line of the femoral vessels in the upper third of the thigh and the place of departure of the deep femoral artery (DFA) from the common femoral artery (CFA) and the place of confluence of the deep femoral vein (DFV) into the femoral vein is visualized. Then, using a convex sensor, the scan is carried out in the upper third of the thigh along the projection line of the femoral vessels, and in the middle and lower third of the thigh - along a line located 2 cm medial to the projection line of the femoral vessels. In this case, the sensor itself is deflected posteriorly by 15°. The veins are compressed and the patency of the arteries is evaluated. Next, the patient is turned over on his stomach, a convex sensor is moved along a vertical line located 3 cm outside of the posterior median line of the thigh, veins are compressed, the patency of the arteries is evaluated.

EFFECT: method provides the most optimal study of the patency and state of blood flow in the deep femoral vessels due to ultrasound duplex angioscanning performed according to the developed algorithm.
