FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to a sheet of electrical steel with an oriented grain structure. A sheet of electrical steel contains a basic steel sheet having a chemical composition containing, wt. %: C: no more than 0.005, Si: 2.5-4.5, Mn: 0.02-0.2, one or more elements selected from a group consisting of S and Se: in total no more than 0.005%, soluble Al: no more than 0.01, N: no more than 0.01, the rest is Fe and impurities, and the primary coating formed on the surface of the main steel sheet and containing Mg2SiO4 as the main component. The position of the peak intensity of the Al radiation obtained by performing elemental analysis by optical emission spectrometry of a glow discharge from the surface of the primary coating in the direction of the thickness of a sheet of electrical steel with an oriented grain structure is located within 2.0-12.0 mcm from the surface of the primary coating in the direction of thickness. The numerical density of Al oxides with dimensions of at least 0.2 mcm in diameter of a circle equivalent in area at the peak of the intensity of Al radiation is 0.03-0.2/mcm2.
EFFECT: sheet has high magnetic properties and adhesion of the primary coating to the main steel sheet.
