SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of apparatuses for treating the surface of the blade of ice skates. Portable apparatus for treating the sliding surface of the blade of an ice skate comprises a body, an electric drive, a surface treatment tool, and a control system for controlling the drive of the surface treatment tool. The body is made as a portable and/or rolling case. The surface treatment tool is made as a polishing disk. The surface treatment tool in the area of the perimeter has a processing zone with a narrowing or rounding cross-sectional plane. The treatment area of the surface treatment tool is narrower than the width of the blade or the distance between the edges of the blade. Thus, said edges of the blade remain untreated when the surface of the blade is treated.
EFFECT: facilitated and improved sharpening of ice skate blades.
