FIELD: aerosol generation.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in aerosol generating devices. The aerosol generating device contains a battery, a heater for heating the aerosol-generating material, a voltage converter and a controller. The controller controls the electrical energy supplied to the heater so that the heater reaches the preset preheating temperature and the heater temperature is maintained below the preset preheating temperature in the heating mode. Based on the amount of energy required to reach the preset preheating temperature and the preset fixed voltage applied to the heater, the controller determines the time period for preheating the heater, while the period of supply of the preset fixed voltage to the heater is relatively constant.
EFFECT: ensuring the constancy of the preheating time.
