FIELD: underwater navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for navigating underwater objects - submarines, manned and unmanned underwater vehicles, specifically to methods for their positioning. Hydroacoustic beacons are not installed permanently in the coastal zone, but on surface vessels located in the area of navigation of underwater objects. The current coordinates of each ship, on which the hydroacoustic beacon is located, are determined from the signals of the satellite or radio navigation system and, by coding, are included in the signal emitted by the hydroacoustic beacon.
EFFECT: expansion of the underwater objects high-precision positioning zone.
