SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for controlling an automobile. The method for controlling an automobile includes monitoring the presence of pedestrians in front of the automobile, determining the compliance of the state of the automobile with the conditions for creating a projection if a pedestrian is detected, and if the possibility of giving way to the pedestrian is determined, creating a projection of a line of signs indicating the priority of movement of the pedestrian in the area of said pedestrian. The system for controlling an automobile includes a control module used to control the presence of pedestrians in front of the control automobile and a projection module used, after detecting a pedestrian in front of the automobile by the control module, to determine the compliance with the conditions for creating a projection in accordance with the state of the automobile, and after determining that the state of the automobile complies with the conditions for creating a projection, to create a projection of a line of signs for a pedestrian indicating the priority of movement of the pedestrian in the area of the location of said pedestrian.
EFFECT: increase in the safety of controlling the vehicle.
