FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analytical instrumentation and can be used in coulometric hygrometers intended for measuring the volume fraction of moisture in gases. Proposed is a gyrometer containing a GAS INPUT fitting, a constant pneumatic resistance, a back-pressure stabiliser, a coulometric cell, an electronic control circuit, a GAS OUTPUT fitting, a knob for adjusting the gas flow through the coulometric cell. The hygrometer also includes a micro ampere meter, a DC source, an electromagnetic valve operating in pulse mode and adjusting the flow of the analysed gas through the coulometric cell. The electromagnetic valve in the pneumatic circuit of the hygrometer is therein connected in series with the coulometric cell and operates in pulse mode by changing the pneumatic resistance thereof, adjusted by an electronic control circuit connected with the electromagnetic valve and impacting the duration of opening and closing thereof. The micro ampere meter and the DC source are therein connected in series with a common electrode of the coulometric cell.
EFFECT: use of an electromagnetic valve for adjusting the flow of the analysed gas through a coulometric cell significantly simplifies the pneumatic circuit of the hygrometer, thereby simplifying the structure of the hygrometer, and operation of the electromagnetic valve can be controlled both locally and remotely by means of a computer.
