FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of weapons, military and special equipment, and is an apparatus for automatic evaluation of terrain trafficability for the purpose of eliminating the human factor in evaluation of the terrain and prediction of the actions of enemy troops. The apparatus is based on operation of artificial neural networks (ANNs) of five types: type I - calculation of the speed when simulating normal weather conditions for objects of the map without a road surface; type II - calculation of the speed when simulating normal weather conditions for objects of the map with a road surface; type III - calculation of the speed in the presence of soil moisture for objects of the map without a road surface; type IV - calculation of the speed in the presence of soil moisture and positive depth of the snow cover for objects of the map without a road surface; type V - calculation of the speed in the presence of positive depth of the snow cover for objects of the map with a road surface.

EFFECT: proposed technical solution is an apparatus for automatic evaluation of terrain trafficability when predicting the actions of enemy troops based on using artificial neural networks (ANNs).
