FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is described, including a device for enclosing cells or tissues (options), a method for producing a device for enclosing cells or tissues, an agent forming an immune-isolating layer for a device for enclosing cells or tissues, and a mixture for containment of reduction in a number of living cells or living tissue. In one of embodiments, the device contains aqueous gel serving as an immune-isolating layer, where the specified aqueous gel contains, as its components, resin of denatured polyvinyl alcohol with an activated carbonyl group and a cross-linking agent, where a biological component is enclosed in the immune-isolating layer.
EFFECT: invention expands the arsenal of means for enclosing cells or tissues.
