FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology, namely to a method for producing mammalian multipotent stem cells/precursor cells, as well as to using the cells produced by the above method. Biliary tracts tissues specified in a group consisting of porta, common hepatic duct, cystic duct, common duct, common hepatopancreatic duct, gall bladder or combinations thereof are sampled. The cells positive in at least one marker specific for a hepatocyte line at the early stage, specified in HNF6, HES1, CK19, albumin and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP); in at least one marker specific for a pancreatic cell line at the early stage, specified in PDX1, PROX1, NGN3 and insulin; in at least one pluripotency marker genes specified in SOX2, NANOG, KLF4, OCT4A and OCT4 are produced by immunoselection and/or in the cell culture selective environment. The produced stem cells do not express or poorly express markers of mature islet cells or mature hepatocytes.
EFFECT: presented invention enables producing the mammalian multipotent stem cells/precursor cells able to be differentiated in several endodermal cell lines.
