FIELD: cell biology; transplantology; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of cell biology, transplantology and medicine, in particular to a method for the treatment of a patient suffering from or at risk of a graft-versus-host reaction (hereinafter – GVHR). The method includes the administration to the patient of a neutralizing antibody to GM-CSF receptor that specifically binds to the granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) or at least one of CD116, CD131 or GM-CSF receptor consisting of CD116 and CD131. The invention also discloses the use of a neutralizing antibody to GM-CSF receptor, the use of a nucleic acid molecule encoding the specified antibody, an expression structure of nucleic acid, containing the specified nucleic acid molecule, as well as a pharmaceutical composition containing the specified antibody, nucleic acid or expression structure.
EFFECT: present invention makes it possible to weaken GVHR while maintaining the beneficial effect of treatment.
