FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, the working parameters of the secondary side of longitudinal differential protection are measured in real time, the adjustment parameters of the transformer in accordance with the voltage of the transformer and the electrical parameters of the transformer are determined. The electrical parameters of the transformer include the nominal capacity of the transformer, and the adjustment parameters of the transformer include the capacity of the transformer. The adjustment parameters of the transformer and the working parameters of the secondary side of the longitudinal differential protection apparatus are compared in order to determine the presence or absence of a fault of the transformer. The nominal secondary protection current is determined based on the adjustment parameters of the transformer and the value of nominal secondary current of each side of the transformer is adjusted in the process of longitudinal differential protection.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of flexibility of longitudinal differential protection due to the increase in the value of current differential of longitudinal differential protection.
