METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPTICAL-INERTIAL TRACKING OF A MOVING OBJECT Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G06T7/70

Abstract RU 2772407 C1

FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for optical-inertial tracking of a moving object. In the method, (a) multiple markers of light are emitted in the IR range; (b) by means of the first data processing device, an image is read from an optical sensor physically connected by a moving object and pixels corresponding to predetermined conditions are detected in the read image; (c) based on the detected pixels, marker images are detected by the first data processing device and the parameters of these marker images are determined; (d) by means of the first data processing device, data is read from at least one inertial sensor physically connected by a moving object; (e) by means of the first data processing device, a combined data stream is formed containing the parameters of the marker images and data from the said at least one inertial sensor, and by means of the first communication device, it is transmitted to the second communication device; (f) by means of a second communication device, a combined data stream is received and, based on it, by means of a second data processing device, the tracker positioning data is determined in the coordinate system of the moving object movement zone; (g) by means of a second data processing device based on the tracker positioning data, the mathematical model of the tracker trajectory is validated; (h) by means of a second data processing device based on the validated mathematical model of the tracker trajectory, the tracker positioning data is extrapolated to the extrapolation horizon.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of the extrapolation of tracker positioning.
