FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to prevent the development of axial myopia in pseudophakic eyes after phacoaspiration of a congenital cataract with corneal astigmatism in infants. During phacoaspiration, the main incision is made by expanding the tunnel paracentesis and positioned depending on the type of astigmatism - with direct corneal astigmatism, the main incision is placed at 12 o'clock, with the reverse with a strong meridian in the range between 0 and 30 degrees - at 11 o'clock. When a strong meridian is located in the range from 150 to 180 degrees - at 13 o'clock. With astigmatism with oblique axes with the location of a strong meridian in the range between 30 and 60 degrees - at 11 o'clock, in the range between 120 and 150 degrees - at 13 o'clock. After implantation of the intraocular lens, the main incision is sutured.
EFFECT: method provides a decrease in the rate of myopization of the eye in the postoperative period due to the claimed technique of phacoaspiration.
