FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing raw wire (7) from a first metal strip (2) and at least one other metal strip (4) by shaping in rolls. The first (2) and at least one other metal strips (4) are made of different metals, preferably of different metals with different yield strength. By shaping in rolls with multiple rolling mill stands (G1, G2), a shell is formed in several passes from the first metal strip (2), completely covering at least one other metal strip (4) along the periphery in the final form. In the first group (G1) of rolling mill stands, first only the first metal strip (2) is imparted a rough shape in several passes. The first (2) and at least one other metal strip (4) are then jointly moulded into the final shape in the second group (G2) of rolling mill stands.
EFFECT: elongation of one of the metal strips relative to the other is prevented.
