FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of maintenance and monitoring of the railway track. The method includes: receiving data characterizing the curvilinear abscissa of the spatial indexing marker (56) of a known characteristic and the position of the spatial indexing marker (56) relative to the reference line (122A, 122B, 222) of the railway track (22), as well as the coordinates of points or lines (A , B, C, D, A', B', C', D', 162, 163, 164) of interest in the two-dimensional positioning reference frame associated with the spatial indexing marker (56) and with the specified reference line (122A, 122B , 222), collection by means of the transformation matrix camera(s) (44) of a set of one or more transformation bitmaps in the spatial frame of reference of the transformation system (16) fixed relative to the transformation chassis (45); collection by means of an odometer (28, 70) of data on the progress of the conversion system relative to the railway track (22), identifying a spatial index marker (56) in said set of one or more transformation bitmaps depending on advance data and curvilinear abscissa data, characterizing the data of the spatial index marker (56) and reference line (122A, 122B, 222) in a spatial frame of reference transformation chassis, calculation of transformed coordinates of points or lines (A, B, C, D, A', B', C', D', 162, 163, 164) of interest in the spatial reference frame of the transformation system (16) depending on the characteristic data of the spatial indexing marker (56) and the reference line (22A) in the spatial reference frame of the transformation system, and coordinates of points or lines (A, B, C, D, A’, B’, C’, D’, 162, 163, 164) of interest in the position reference frame.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and lead time of determining the locations of points or lines of interest on the railway track.
