SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating system. The aerosol generating device contains a casing forming a chamber for accommodating at least part of an aerosol generating product, an inductor coil located around at least part of the specified chamber, an elongated susceptor element protruding to the specified chamber, and a power source and a controller connected to the inductor coil and made with the possibility of supply of alternating electric current to the inductor coil so that the inductor coil, when used, generates an alternating magnetic field for heating the elongated susceptor element and, thus, heating at least part of the aerosol generating product placed in the specified chamber. The elongated susceptor element contains an elongated support case and at least one heating part formed by a susceptor layer on the outer surface of the elongated support case. The elongated support case is made of heat-insulating material. The susceptor layer contains one or more susceptor materials.

EFFECT: possibility of easy change in a size and/or location of a heating part by changing a size and/or location of a susceptor layer is provided; possibility of manufacture of a case of non-susceptor material, and decrease in the degree of heating a casing of an aerosol generating device during the use are also provided.
