FIELD: beverage making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a portion capsule for beverage making. The portion capsule for beverage making has a base element that has a wall area and a bottom area that limit a hollow space. In this space, source material of a beverage and a collar area, which is provided on the base element, are provided. The hollow space is closed by membrane, which is fixed to the collar area of the base element. The portion capsule has an identifier that makes it possible to individualize the corresponding portion capsule, wherein the identifier is a barcode that is provided on the side of the collar area facing away from membrane. In the wall area, recesses and/or protrusions are provided, which, at least in sections, extend between the collar and the bottom area, wherein recesses and/or protrusions are grooves/slots.
EFFECT: increase in the stability of the capsule in the longitudinal direction and/or in the circumferential direction.
