SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a disposable capsule for preparing a beverage. Capsule has a body with a cavity for raw materials for the preparation of a drink and is closed by a membrane fixed to the body, wherein the capsule has an identifier that allows for individualization and is provided on the inside of the membrane, herewith the identifier is a surface area with a certain optical reflectance property.

EFFECT: present capsule provides an improved reading of the identifier by the beverage preparation device due to the prevention of a damage to the identifier by isolating it from the ambient environment.
