A sheet of anisotropic electrical steel contains: a basic steel sheet having a chemical composition containing, wt. %: C 0.0050 or less, Si 2.5-4.5, Mn 0.02-0.20, one or more elements selected from a group consisting of S and Se in the sum of 0.005 or less, Al solutions 0.010 or less, and N 0.010 or less, and the rest consisting of iron and impurities, and the primary coating formed on the surface of the main steel sheet and containing Mg2SiO4 as the main component. In the diagram of the correlation distribution of the intensity of the characteristic X-ray radiation and the height of the surface of the primary coating, the primary coating satisfies the conditions: the numerical density of D3 regions with a high concentration of Al is 0.020-0.180/mcm2 (the total area of S5 regions, which are areas of the anchor oxide layer and are also areas with a high concentration of Al)/(the total area of S3 regions with a high concentration of Al)≥33%, the distance H5 obtained by subtracting H0 from the average height of the regions, which are areas of the anchor oxide layer and are also areas with a high concentration of Al, in the direction of thickness: 0.4-4.0 mcm, and (total area S1 of the areas of the anchor oxide layer)/(observed area S0)≥15%, when designating the central value of the primary coating surface height as H0, designating the primary coating present on the side of the main steel sheet from H0+0.2 microns as “the area of the anchor oxide layer”, and designating the primary coating present on the side of the primary coating from H0+0.2 microns as “the area of the surface oxide layer”, when identifying the maximum value of the intensity of the characteristic X-ray radiation of Al and designating the area in which the intensity of the characteristic X-ray radiation of Al is 20% or more of the maximum value of Al, as “the area with a high concentration of Al”.

EFFECT: production of a material with high adhesion of the primary coating during bending operations is ensured.
