FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a solid chewing veterinary antiparasitic composition with an appealing flavour, an application thereof, and to a treatment method using said composition. Proposed is a composition in the form of a tablet with an appealing flavour, containing: a. a therapeutically effective amount of sarolaner amounting to approximately 1.3% (wt./wt.); b. a stabilised macrocyclic lactone, constituting moxidectin, wherein moxidectin is stabilised with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose in an approximate amount of 2.0 to 2.5% (wt./wt.), approximately 0.02% (wt./wt.) butylated hydroxytoluene, and approximately 0.3% (wt./wt.) meglumine; and the amount of moxidectin is approximately 0.03% (wt./wt.); c. pyrantel pamoate in an approximately amount of 16% (wt./wt.); d. a mixture of flavour intensifiers from 40 to 45% (wt./wt.), wherein said mixture contains at least one natural animal-based flavour intensifier; and e. at least one veterinary-acceptable excipient; wherein the amounts in % (wt./wt.) are indicated as calculated for the total weight of the tablet. Also proposed is a method for treating or preventing parasitic infection or infestation in an animal by administration of the above composition to an animal in need thereof, and an application of said solid chewing veterinary antiparasitic composition in the form of a tablet with an appealing flavour for treating or preventing parasitic infection or infestation in a domestic animal. The composition is stable and has a favourable flavour, is effective against endo- and ectoparasites.

EFFECT: high stability correlates with increased storage life and efficiency, wherein the flavour appeal facilitates proper administration to the patient.
