SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry and can be used for coating molds and cores. Non-stick paint for molds and cores contains, wt.%: electrocorundum - 50-65, modified montmorillonite clay - 0.07-0.10, polyvinyl butyral - 1.4-2.0, solvent - the rest. The modified montmorillonite clay contained in the paint structures the paint and makes it possible to create a thixotropic system, due to which a homogeneous composition is maintained during the drying of the paint and high covering and penetrating abilities when paint is applied to the working surfaces of molds and cores.

EFFECT: invention provides a uniform thickness coating of casting molds and cores of increased strength, covering all pores and microcracks on the surface of casting molds and cores, which prevents the penetration of liquid metal into them and the formation of burn marks on castings.
