FIELD: wind power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wind power and can be used to produce mechanical and electrical energy. The wind turbine contains a rotating wind turbine with a vertical axis of rotation and wind-guiding screens located outside the wind turbine around the circumference, freely rotating around the vertical axes. Each wind-guiding screen is equipped with rollers and mounted in a frame on guides located along its upper and lower edges with the possibility of free movement of screens along them in the horizontal direction. They consist of several parts and are made sliding with the possibility of forcibly changing their width depending on the natural wind speed. The guides located along the upper and lower edges of the frame are curved, and a canvas consisting of narrow vertically arranged plates pivotally connected to each other, moving horizontally along curved guides in both directions, is used as wind-guiding screens.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of using wind energy by a wind turbine with the help of wind–guiding screens.
