FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing triethylaluminium by interacting aluminium, hydrogen, triethylaluminium seeding and ethylene at high temperature and pressure in two stages, wherein aluminium is hydrogenated at the first stage and ethylene is alkylated at the second stage. The first stage including the interaction of aluminium with hydrogen in the presence of triethylaluminium is therein conducted at a temperature of 110 to 120°C with the addition of propane as a promoter of dissolution of hydrogen in the reaction mass, taken in an amount from 50 to 150% of the stoichiometric amount of hydrogen.
EFFECT: increase in the productivity of the process due to the reduction in the duration of the first stage by 1.5 to 2.5 times; proposed technological solution does not require additional equipment, high-priced materials, and is easily implemented in industry.
