FIELD: composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a group of inventions: carbon fibre-reinforced polyphenylene sulphide composite materials and a method for producing carbon fibre-reinforced polyphenylene sulphide composite materials. This method includes the stage of finishing carbon fibre by applying a finishing material from a solution, followed by drying. The finishing agent is applied from solutions with a mass fraction of 0.21 to 0.83% in an organic volatile solvent, and the temperature is raised in steps, with simultaneous distillation of the solvent in the following mode: 30°C - 30 min; 40°C - 30 min; 50°C - 45 min; 60°C - 30 min; 75°C - 30 min . The finishing agent constitutes an organic compound - oligophenylene sulphone based on phenolphthalein and 4,4′-dichlorodiphenyl sulphone

in a volatile organic solvent - chloroform. The amount of the finishing agent relative to the carbon fibre is 1 to 4 wt.%. The amount of finished carbon fibre in the composite material is 20 wt.%.

EFFECT: production of composite materials with improved physical and mechanical and rheological properties based on a matrix polymer of polyphenylene sulphide reinforced with finished carbon fibre; polyphenylene sulphide composite materials reinforced with finished carbon fibres are intended for use as structural polymer materials.
