FIELD: petrochemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for reducing the formation of a popcorn polymer of 1,3-butadiene during extraction and purification. A method for inhibiting the formation of a popcorn polymer is described, in which a hydrocarbon stream containing 1,3-butadiene is introduced into a distillation unit. Then, a gas stream containing a polymerization inhibitor is periodically added to the upper part of the distillation unit to reduce the polymerization of 1,3-butadiene. The polymerization inhibitor includes nitric oxide at a concentration of 100-500 h / mil. gas flow. After that, 1,3-butadiene is distilled from the hydrocarbon stream.
EFFECT: provided is effective inhibition of the formation of a popcorn polymer in the vapor phase of a butadiene distillation unit, also described are variants of the method.
