FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to the frame of opposed reciprocating compressors. The bed contains a hollow box-shaped frame, made with the possibility of placing a crankshaft in it. On the lateral sides, the frame is equipped with hollow lanterns, made with the possibility of placing crosshead bushings in them. The bottom of the frame cavity is the oil reservoir. From below to the bottom of the frame, a removable additional crankcase is detachably fixed, made in the form of a container elongated along the vertical. The crankcase communicates with the frame cavity through a hole in the bottom of the frame and is equipped with an oil intake fitting.
EFFECT: reduced requirements for the accuracy of the horizontal installation of the compressor for its use.
