FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compressor equipment, namely to piston compressors with a linear drive, the working chamber of which is equipped with a developed heat exchange surface — cooled by a ribbed end cover. Piston compressor stage comprises a cylindrical working chamber with liquid cooling and with suction and discharge valves arranged on its side surface, equipped with an end cover, ribbed on the side of the working chamber, with a cavity made in it for the coolant flow, a piston with a drive rod. In the piston there is a cavity for coolant flow, and in the drive rod there are channels for its supply to the piston and removal from it. Piston is ribbed on its end part on the side of the working chamber. Ribs of the piston and the end cover of the cylinder are geometrically mirror-like and shifted relative to each other by the value of half the inter-rib pitch.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at reduction of gas compression work and dynamic loads on linear drive.
