SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, in particular to a method for protecting frame buildings from impacts leading to progressive collapse. The method for protection against the collapse of frame buildings includes the installation of additional continuous metal trusses on the coating supports, consisting of upper and lower belts, braces and racks, and the racks located on the coating support are spaced apart from each other. The support is equipped with gaskets that provide horizontal movement of metal trusses, and stops that form a U-shaped tray. A horizontal rod element is placed between the spaced racks, and a metal cage made of vertical rod elements is fixed on the head of the bearing vertical element to transfer vertical forces from the head of the cage to the horizontal rod element.
