FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to mechanical engineering in the field of oil production and, in particular, to technical means for mechanization of oil production from a well. In particular, the invention relates to a pumping rod and the method for its manufacture. The pump rod contains a rod and two tips. Each of the tips is designed to be connected to the subsequent element of the column and contains a cavity near its second end, including a section of the inner surface, made with the possibility of holding at least part of the split end section of the rod. The rod is made with the possibility of wedging its end section inside the cavity of the tip.
EFFECT: pumping rod contains a channel that provides the introduction of adhesive into the space between the bottom of the cavity and the split end of the rod held in the cavity, which increases the reliability of the pumping rod.
