FIELD: oil and gas industry, particularly rods for actuating pumps submerged into wells.

SUBSTANCE: sucker rod includes rod of glass-fiber reinforced plastic material, metal terminal members provided with threads formed on ends thereof and secured from both rod ends and fastening members cooperating with rod by inner surface thereof through adhesive and connected to terminal members. Each terminal member is embedded into bar by end without thread. Outer surface of embedded part of terminal member is formed as wavy surface of revolution. The envelopes of wavy surface bulges are substantially conical. Each fastening member is made as bandage enclosing bar and terminal member. Each fastening member have cylindrical part of variable diameter located from side of connection thereof with terminal member. Cylindrical part passes into conical runout. Cylindrical bandage part of lesser diameter is provided with depressions located along perimeter thereof. Extensions corresponding to bandage depressions are formed on inner bandage surface and are arranged opposite to valleys of wavy surface. Extensions are buried into adhesive formed as massif of thermosetting material, for instance of epoxy compound. Outer wavy surface of embedded parts of terminal members is formed as catenary surface defined by revolution of catenary line sections.

EFFECT: increased sucker rod strength and reliability.
