GLASS-REINFORCED PLASTIC SUCKER ROD Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: operation of oil wells, particularly, devices for production of oil by sucker-rod pumps. SUBSTANCE: essence of invention consists in that metal head of glass-reinforced plastic sucker rod is detachable with auxiliary cavity in mounting part of head with thread on internal cylindrical inlet and conical surfaces of head mounting part. Wedging part is made in form of plate presenting cone with arrow-like tip in cross-section. Both ends of glass-reinforced plastic sucker rod have slots with transverse holes strictly in center of rod longitudinal axis. Installed in said slots are wedging parts driven through auxiliary cavity of head mounting part into glass-reinforced rods to equalize their bases. Height of wedging part equals 2/3 height of head conical zone and its taper exceeds taper of conical zone by a factor of 1.15- 1.3, and length of slots on glass-reinforced rod equals 0.8-1.0 height of wedging part. EFFECT: higher reliability and strength of fastening of glass- reinforced rod in metal heads and simplified technology of manufacture and assembly of rod. 3 cl, 3 dwg
