The power supply unit for the aerosol generating device includes: a power source for supplying power to the aerosol heater, a socket for receiving power for charging the power source from an external power source, a charger for controlling the charging of the power source with electricity received by the socket, and a controller. According to the invention, the socket and the power supply are connected in parallel with the charger, and the charger is designed to supply power from the socket and the power supply to the controller through the charger.

EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of supplying power from an external power source to the controller of the power supply unit, even when the power source provided in the power supply unit for the aerosol generating device is in an excessively discharged state.
