FIELD: artificial lung ventilation.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to means for artificial lung ventilation. Presented are semi-cylindrical medical rollers for artificial lung ventilation with a height of no more than 15 cm and a length of no more than 80 cm. The rollers are made of polyurethane foam with a density of 25 to 50 kg/m3, have a flat surface on the bottom side, and the upper part of the rollers is rounded. Also described is a method for their use for artificial ventilation of the lungs.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of using the prone position while improving the opening of the lungs, reducing the risk of lung damage in case of pulmonary insufficiency and straining the lungs during breathing, creating comfortable conditions for the patient to use the prone position, preventing the occurrence of pressure sores.
