FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to anaesthesiology and resuscitation, and can be used to reduce the risk of thrombosis in the internal jugular vein after its catheterization in the patients on artificial lung ventilation (ALV) with constant positive pressure. Vein is catheterized with the highest linear blood flow velocity. Then blood flow velocity is recorded in horizontally located patient for 15 seconds and its minimum value is determined. Further, the lowest blood flow velocity is measured after each lifting of the head end of bed by 5°. Body position is changed until the increase in the minimum blood flow rate ceases.
EFFECT: method enables prolonging the safe period of using the vascular catheter without the risk of thrombotic and thromboembolic complications in the ventilated patients due to the combination of techniques of the claimed invention.
