FIELD: medical technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to energy-based therapies and, more specifically, to systems and methods for improving the accuracy of temperature measurements used during energy-based dermatological therapy. The temperature measurement system for measuring the temperature of the measured surface includes: 1) the first temperature sensor; and 2) a control surface including a second temperature sensor integrated into it. The first temperature sensor includes a field of view simultaneously covering both at least a section of the measured surface and at least a section of the control surface, thus it is made with the possibility of simultaneously taking the first measurement of both a section of the measured surface and a section of the control surface. The first measurement of the control surface taken by the first temperature sensor is compared with the second measurement taken by the second temperature sensor for use in calibrating the first temperature sensor.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of the data obtained.
