FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for surgical correction of pronation deformity of the forearm in children with congenital radioulnar synostosis. A transverse osteotomy of the ulna is performed distal to the synostosis zone with segmental resection of a bone fragment less than 5 mm long, and a pin is passed intramedullary through the ulna. Then, a transverse osteotomy of the metaphysis of the radius is performed, and a pin is passed intramedullary through the radius. A derotation maneuver is performed to the average physiological position of the forearm. The reached position of both bones of the forearm is fixed with two transversely drawn needles. An autogenous bone crumb is placed in the zone of segmental resection of the ulna.

EFFECT: method provides safe, anatomically and biomechanically justified derotation of the forearm with stable fixation, as well as prevention of neurological and circulatory disorders due to proximal osteotomy of the ulna only and additional transverse and intramedullary fixation of the forearm bones.
