FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: e invention relates to the production of a material based on cerium aluminate, which can be used as an anode material for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) of electrochemical devices used in the electric power industry. The method includes obtaining a solid solution based on cerium aluminate of the composition Ce1-хCaхAlO3-0,5х, where 0<x≤0.1, which is synthesized from a mixture of powders of cerium oxide or carbonate, aluminum oxide, and calcium carbonate in the required stoichiometric amount relative to the mass of the resulting aluminate, to which a reducing agent is added - ammonium oxalate in a ratio of 1: 1 per mole of aluminate, the synthesis is carried out using stepwise annealing, which is carried out first at a temperature of 1000°C for 12 hours, and then at 1400°C for 96 hours in flow of nitrogen at a rate of 5 l/min.
EFFECT: increasing the electrical conductivity of the anode material based on cerium aluminate, lowering the temperature of its synthesis, simplifying the hardware design of the process and reducing its cost.
