SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of solid fuels from pressed wood biomass. A fuel briquette is proposed, characterized by the fact that the outer longitudinal surfaces of the briquette in cross-section are made along the arc of a circle with a diameter equal to the diameter of the circle enclosing a regular hexagon, while alternating segments of the arcs of the outer perimeter of the section are curved or concave, and the longitudinal through central hole of the briquette has a perimeter profile similar to the profile of the outer perimeter of the briquette.

EFFECT: increase in the area of the vertical outer surfaces of the briquette while maintaining the volume and density of its biomass and, as a result, an increase in the intensity of burning of such a briquette, which provides an increase in the productivity of briquette heat and power plants.
