FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of construction, namely to a method for manufacturing prestressed wooden beams, and can be used in new construction or in strengthening roofs or ceilings of buildings, as well as in the construction of bridges. The method for manufacturing a prestressed beam consists in pre-installing end clips on a machined beam. Further, the beam with clips is placed horizontally with the operational face down on two supports of the same height, maximally spaced apart, and bent by a vertical load to ensure the central deflection of the beam by the height of the supports. Then, the derelaxation unit is mounted and the reinforcement of the specified unit is subsequently tensioned, after which the vertical load is removed and the beam is turned with the operational edge up.
EFFECT: increase the bearing capacity of the beam.
